MMS Offshore Provides Survey Support to Hornsea 2
MMS Offshore provides wholly owned, purpose built and high specification support vessels to the offshore renewables sector.
As such, we are perfectly placed to support offshore windfarms across the UK, including Hornsea 2 where we assisted with geophysical and geotechnical surveys during the construction phase of this high-profile windfarm.
As part of this project, our vessel MMS Supreme remained offshore 24/7, only returning to port for essential refuelling or in the event of poor weather, and was utilised as a platform to deploy and recover met ocean survey equipment analysing underwater acoustics whilst piling operations were underway.
To ensure the project was delivered successfully, MMS Offshore installed a capstan winch and modified the vessel crane to ensure all aspects of client requirements were executed and work was carried out effectively.
